PLEASE RESERVE YOUR PLACE NOW by email or in person at our meeting on 20th May. Members will have priority over guests if we have a lot of interest.
Our 2025 outing will be to Watercress Farm, the rewilding project adjacent to the Belmont Estate in North Somerset, with the option to visit nearby Cleeve Nursery to look round and have lunch or coffee beforehand.
There is no charge for the outing but reserving a place beforehand is necessary. Transport will be in attendees' own vehicles (please share lifts where possible). Alternatively, the X9 bus runs from central Bristol to the end of the lane running to Watercress Farm (with an approx 10-minute walk). See map below and detailed travel instructions here.

Visiting Cleeve Nursery is an optional part of the outing. It is an independent garden centre and cafe, set in the Somerset countryside approximately 15-20 minutes' drive from Watercress Farm. It is well-regarded and recognised for its quality plants and expert advice.
The garden centre is open from 9am to 5pm. The cafe is open from 9am to 4pm, with hot food served until 3pm. You will find menus here.
The Belmont Estate has been reimagined in the last decade and is now a regenerative farm, using its profits for nature recovery and community and conservation projects. One of these is the rewilding and rewetting project at adjacent Watercress Farm.
Our visit to Watercress Farm to see the project in action will start at 2pm (please arrive by 1.45). It will last about 1½-2 hours. We will have a guided tour along some of the many paths that criss-cross Watercress Farm. Please wear appropriate footwear.
